Jazz up your Wall Paneling

Traditional.  When, most people think of wall paneling, what pops into most people’s heads is traditional, clean, and white. If you want to add some excitement, while still staying with a traditional look, add grey tones.  Paint the wall above the paneling grey, the chair rail a darker shade of grey, and the wall paneling white.  This allows the wall to provide the color, and grey is the new neutral.  It works well with any bold color you would choose to accent with.  However, there are so many more options for wall paneling!

If you are looking for a more modern take, here are some ideas.  Mix the wall paneling with a graphic floral wall paper. Pull a color from the wall paper to paint the wall paneling.  Use another bold color from the wall paper print as your accent color, and you have just used wall paneling and given it a modern twist. The results are stunning!

There's no rule that says your wainscoting must be white! Paint it a fun blue color to quirk up your bathroom. If you are using it in your child’s bedroom, paint the wall paneling a bright fun color, and above the paneling, a lighter shade.  Or, for an even more dramatic look, paint the wall another bright color.  The sky is the limit when it comes to wall paneling!
