For centuries, one of the hallmarks of fine homes in Europe and America has been the use of fine architectural woodwork. Over the past few generations however, the exorbitant cost and growing scarcity of materials and skilled labor have made high quality architectural woodwork prohibitive in all but the most expensive homes.
New England Classic© is the brainchild of a team of MIT architects. The idea, conceived in 1993, was to bring back the warmth and beauty of fine wood interiors using state-of-the-art materials and methods: a vision of taking traditionally styled high-end architectural woodwork and applying innovative technologies to deliver the warmth and beauty of authentic fine wood panels.
The New England Classic Panel System© is a result of those efforts: a patented system of endlessly adaptable interlocking panels, stiles and rails that fit together like a model airplane kit and can be installed by a carpenter, or do-it-yourselfer. The DIY product is made using select grade A sliced veneer, laminated to a stable engineered wood core, technology adapted from high-end commercial furniture manufacturing. The best part is the system will cost about 1/2 as much as comparable custom woodworking installations.
With headquarters in Florence, Alabama, the company manufactures, markets and distributes an integrated line of fine wood panel wall systems and accessories throughout the United States. The company currently distributes its products and services through a growing network of over 750 premier building product retailers and leading home-builders.
The company is committed to supporting and assisting customers with a highly trained sales and design team.
