The New England Classic® Panel System maintains the look and feel of solid hardwood by using a composite of furniture-grade hardwood veneers (cut from a real oak, maple or cherry log) and an engineered wood core, the key to the system's environmental friendliness.
The New England Classic Panel System is listed in the Environmental Building News Product Catalog. Our wainscot product meets the CARB formaldehyde standards.
New England Classic is featured in Black & Decker's Complete Guide to a Green Home: The Good Citizen's Guide to Earth-friendly Remodeling & Home Maintenance. The publication is available at Lowes, Home Depot, and other home building supply stores. Look for us on page 138 and under the Resources Directory. The guide features our Classic Modern product, but all our wainscot products offer the same green advantages.

Saving our precious hardwood trees |
The rails, stiles, cap & shoe are made by bonding hardwood veneer to a core of engineered wood. One of the types of engineered wood New England Classic uses is called medium density fiberboard, which is made from highly refined wood fibers, often from waste wood such as sawdust and discarded wood pallets. It is very stable and can be machined very precisely, which is how we get such sharp details on our rails and stiles. This method reduces use of solid lumber by about 95%.

Saving you labor and energy on the site | The New England Classic Panel System arrives on your site ready to install with minimal cutting and sanding. All components have been sanded in the factory to 180 grit, reducing the energy, time and most importantly, the dust created by traditional sanding processes. |
Environment-friendly packaging | All our components are packaged in corrugated cardboard without staples or other metal fasteners - this makes it easy to recycle the boxes. |
