Wood Mantel Specification Chart (Mantel Dimension Diagram)

For Wood Mantels, the Opening Width, Opening Height and Return Depth can be adjusted to accommodate different fireplace opening and fireplace surround facing material dimensions. As the Mantel Opening Width increases, so does the Mantel Shelf Length and Mantel Body Width. As the Mantel Opening Height increases, so does the Overall Height of the Mantel, and as the Return Depth increases, so does the Mantel Leg Depth/Thickness and the Mantel Shelf Depth. Some parts of the mantel cannot be custom sized, for instance; the mantel Leg Width, the Mantel Shelf Overhang and the Mantel Header are fixed dimensions as listed in our chart and (generally speaking) cannot be changed.

The Standard Sizes are priced and available without any dimensional changes.? Shelves can be custom sized by choosing a specific Shelf Length and you can either keep the Shelf Depth to its Standard Size, or you can request a custom shelf depth.? NOTE:? When we discuss Shelf Length and Shelf Depth Dimensions, we are talking about the top of the shelf.

These are exact reproductions of authentic, antique mantels, and as such, the dimensions on our cast Marble Mantels are fixed. We can, however, add length to the bottom of most of the marble mantels to make the opening, and overall height taller. Call us for details. These marble mantels can be used as is on a variety of sizes of fireplaces when used in combination with custom fireplace facing stone to surround the fireplace opening and when used for "leg returns.)
