The Luxurious Beauty of Wood Made Accessible | New England Classic

For centuries, one of the hallmarks of fine homes in Europe and later America has been the luxurious look of decorative woodworking. Meticulously carved and paneled interiors were telltale signs of wealth. Now that authentic look can be achieved at a very accessible price.

New England Classic is a specialty building products company founded in 1993 to provide affordable solutions for the much-desired look of decorative wall paneling. The products are designed to appeal to people love the character of old homes with the warmth and beauty of wood.  The company's flagship product, the Raised Panel System®, is designed to be true to the timeless architectural styles found in 18th and 19th century American homes along the Eastern Seaboard. Yet, the Raised Panel System is only one-third the cost of custom millwork, until now the only means to recreate this fine look.

The Raised Panel System is an interlocking system ingeniously exacted for simple installation and finishing by either a skilled do-it-yourself ("DIY") homeowner or professional contractor. The precision-made components are manufactured to demanding specifications to ensure a proper fit, speed installation and minimize the need for jobsite customization. Providing a wide range of design flexibility, the components are sold in kits complete with precision-machined rails, stiles, base, shoe and cap mouldings that easily slide together. New England Classic has accounted for virtually every circumstance with component pieces to fit around doors and windows with style and elegance. Components come premium-stained, ready to stain, as well as ready to paint. Finishes include oak, maple and cherry veneers.

And price is not the only advantage that New England Classic products hold over custom millwork. New England Classic's products, made from premium-sliced, natural wood, are fused to an environmentally friendly engineered wood core, providing superior stability and resistance to swelling and cracking in temperature changes. The product is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

The Raised Panel System® is available in standard panel heights of 23, 31 and 47 inches and in widths of 6, 9, 12, 15, 23 and 31 inches, with rail heights available in 4 and 8-inch widths. The advantage of the modular design is that, while produced in standard sizes, the system can be configured to fit any size wall and is suitable for full or any partial height applications. Unlike our competitors, New England Classic does most of the custom sizing and cutting for you!

Another advantage to the New England Classic systems is the free design service we offer.  The consumer just needs to fax or email a room sketch with measurements, and our design team will review it and a custom layout and materials list will be returned, normally  within two business days.

The Raised Panel System was started New England Classic's commitment to create affordable decorative wood panel solutions back in 1993. Soon after, the company expanded the product line with the introduction of the Stair PanelSets® designed to fit 80% of common residential staircase angles. New England Classic also introduced the Classic Beadboard PanelSet® as well as a more contemporary Classic Modern® decorative wall panel.  The Classic Cottage style was also introduced and a Classic Rustic paneling system in maple was also brought to market. Any of these systems are the perfect way for homeowners to increase the value of their homes while surrounding themselves in classic good taste.
